About JKB
If you think growing up with a famous sibling is difficult, trying being
Larry, Jesus' Kid Brother -- he has an inferiority complex of
Biblical proportions. This rollicking musical comedy follows Larry's attempts
to be his own man. Helped by his best friend Barabbas, Larry searches for true
love and finds it in the most unlikely and forbidden of places -- with the daughter
of Pontius Pilate. This hilarious behind-the-scenes look at the New Testament
features singing Jews, dancing lepers, menacing Romans, giddy disciple groupies, and an outrageous climax where Larry finally confronts his insecurities.
Jesus' Kid Brother is the hit new musical by
writers Brian and Mark Karmelich. JKB premiered in
Los Angeles to
rave reviews
and much success. The show moved from its initial Equity/Waiver
debut to an Equity run
opening the season at the
International City Theatre in Long Beach,
again to
rave reviews.
JKB was subsequently selected for two performances at
Stephen Schwartz's
Disney ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop.
Up next for JKB -- A staged reading at the York Theatre,

The reading will be on Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 at 3pm.
